This was inspired by conversations with my friend Ashley, who has been brave and vocal about her disdain for Donald Trump. She gets a TON of flack for it but she is bright and informed and she makes great points.
At one point, I asked Ashley, “When is enough enough?” I told her I wanted to write about it, and because she’s Ashley, of course she encouraged me to do so.
The grabby headline is intentional, because this entire election season has felt like a piece straight out of The Onion. I’m prepared (kind of) for the backlash from Trump supporters, but at this point, I just needed to get it off my chest.
